Brunei's Royal Wedding 23rd September 2012

It has been awhile since i posted any info or news on what's happening around me. As of today (October 18th, 2012), quite a few major events had occur. I guess, Royal Wedding for Brunei's Royal Family on September 23rd, 2012 - has marked as one of the most important event in Brunei. 

The Royal Wedding between HRH Princess Hjh Hafizah Sururul Bolkiah and YAM Pengiran Anak Hj Muhd Ruzaini Pengiran Dr Hj Mohd Yakub. The date itself commemorates Teacher's day in Brunei - remembering the late Sultan's father HM Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddin anniversary.  

Farewell my friend, colleague and sister - Ang Geok Ping

Ang Geok Ping, a dearly friend of mine and a colleague from our 14th Intake PAPRSB College of Nursing. Recently passed away on August 13th, 2012. Her passing certainly was a great loss for those who know her. I was one of her friends who normally comes close to her back during college days.

This video is a tribute to her. She knew i always sing and when i was with her during student years she told me how fond i am singing praise songs which usually sung in Church - i'm a muslim and i have no problem singing such songs as i am into classical music. 

She will always be remembered. We will miss you, Ang Geok Ping.... May You Rest In Peace My Friend.

Chopper Crash - Friday late afternoon July 20th,2012

Certainly it was one of Brunei's biggest loss where twelve (12) member of Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) died in one of the worst tragedy right after the bus incident which took place in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah - December 2011.

His Majesty The Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan Negara of Brunei Darussalam made a visit among with some of the Royal Family Member to Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha Hospital (RIPAS).

In just one day paper on Sunday Bulletin, the above links shown are all about crimes?!? This desperate act occur might be from, unemployment, a lower standard of one's living or probably just an act of theft itself. My judgement is too early to tell but this is life. If you came from a well-off family, such things will not occur (i hope am right!). 

April Getaway...

I had a marvelous holiday in the Philippines and Singapore. Journey starts  from Brunei to Manila. I stayed in the Philippines for 10 days before i headed to Singapore and stayed there for another 7 days. What an experience!! Here are some places which probably is quite different or new as i normally don't go to resorts while am out from Brunei.

RIP Whitney Houston (1963 - 2012)

Whitney's passing had caused me to listen to this beautiful song. The first song i listened from her - "I will always love you" was indeed the greatest song ever. Over the years, like some others, i grew up listening to her songs which might have affect the ways of life in all of us...

After many years not listening to her voice, the song "i look to you", in some way - made me feel 'connected' with her music again. As of myself, probably the last song i listened to was the song 'when you believe' - featuring Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston herself. I feel that this song had made me to 'come back' to love her songs all over again.

Abuse Case

The above incident occurred on December 15th, 2011. A 2 year old female child was abused by guardian and was witnessed by her mother presence. The abuser - mother's boyfriend, allegedly hitting the victim which causes her to worsen over time as these 'parent' did not know that she is bleeding to death from the intestines. 

It was stated that the victim died from Septicaemia - infection in the blood. This was caused by the guardian repeatedly hitting the victim's stomach which then causes internal injury within the intestine.   

In cases where assumed Non Accidental Injury (NAI), hospital or clinic are required to report these cases to be managed further by medical professionals.
